The deadline to order your Gap & Gown is December 15th. 

After December 15th please see Ms. Tonya in the Admin Office to submit a "Cash on Delivery" order, with a $1 minimum deposit. The total due for your Cap and Gown is: $55

You can pay for your order in whole at this time with cash ($55), you can choose to pay small portions along the way, or pay for the total remaining amount ($54) on delivery day, however,  the last day to pay for your Cash on Delivery order is on May 9th when Cap and Gown orders will be delivered.

All financial obligations must be cleared and paid to the Coronado Bookstore by May 8th. Per SUSD policy, the bookstore can only accept cash or check and no bills larger than $20. Deby letters were distributed to students during Senior Meetings. If you have a concern about your financial obligation, please fill out the Google Form.

Seniors with unpaid fines will not be issued their cap & gown. Cap & Gown distribution is in the auditorium lobby during lunch on May 9th. Students with unpaid fines/fees who have not worked out a payment plan with Principal Splitek or requested assitance will not be able to pick up their cap and gown. 

A cap and gown is required to participate in the Graduation Ceremony on May 22nd. 

On April 11th, Ms. Splitek and Ms. Tonya will meet with the Class of 2025 during their English classes to provide essential information about graduation. These meetings are designed to ensure that students are well-informed about all aspects of their senior year and graduation requirements. Topics will include reviewing transcripts and course credit requirements, addressing school fees and financial obligations, and outlining attendance expectations. Additionally, students will receive details about cap and gown distribution, the senior awards ceremony, final exams, and the graduation ceremony, including attire, tickets, and practice. Important information about diploma pickup, legalities, graduation photos, and senior behavior expectations will also be covered to help students prepare for this milestone event.

Senior Signing Day is a special event that celebrates the achievements and future aspirations of graduating seniors as they officially announce their college decisions. This momentous occasion highlights the hard work, dedication, and perseverance students have demonstrated throughout their high school journey. During the event, seniors sign a ceremonial letter of intent to the college, university, or program they will be attending, symbolizing their commitment to the next chapter of their education or career path. It's a proud moment for students, families, and the school community to recognize and honor their accomplishments and bright futures.

The Senior Awards Ceremony is a prestigious and invitational event that celebrates the achievements and successes of the graduating senior class. This special evening is dedicated to recognizing students for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments throughout high school. Scholarships earned, academic excellence, and special awards from teachers and departments are highlighted, showcasing the incredible efforts of these students. An invitation to this event signifies that a student is being recognized and/or receiving an award, making it a significant honor. The ceremony serves as an opportunity to honor their contributions and milestones, while also inspiring underclassmen to strive for excellence. It is a proud and memorable occasion for students, families, and staff to come together and celebrate this significant moment in their academic journey.

A grad walk (short for graduation walk) is a celebratory event where graduating students—typically high school or college seniors—walk in their caps and gowns through a campus or school they previously attended, such as their elementary or middle school. The purpose is to:

• Celebrate the graduates' achievement

• Inspire younger students by showing them what they can achieve

• Reconnect graduates with former teachers and staff who supported them along the way

It’s often filled with cheers, signs, high-fives, and sometimes even music or photo ops. It's a feel-good tradition in many school districts.

A permission is needed in order to attend this event. Parents/Guardians will receive a digital permission slip to sign in their email and text messages from Parent Square.

Attendance at graduation practice is mandatory for all graduating seniors. Failure to attend the practice will result in not being allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony. Additionally, students who do not attend rehearsal will not receive their graduation tickets or regalia. It is essential to be present at this practice to ensure you are prepared for the ceremony and have everything needed to celebrate this important milestone.

May 22, 2025

Graduation for Coronado High School will be held on the football field. Graduates are required to report to the gymnasium by 7:00 PM to prepare for the ceremony. The commencement will begin promptly at 8:00 PM. Families and guests are encouraged to arrive starting at 7:00pm to secure seating and celebrate this special milestone.

Each student will receive 2 Rain or Shine Tickets - FREE.

These 2 tickets are valid in the event bad weather prohibits graduation from taking place on the field. The ceremony will be moved into the Coronado Auditorium where each student will be allowed 2 guests. 

As long as good weather permits, these tickets can also be used for General Admission on the field. 

No matter what, "Rain or Shine", these 2 tickets are valid. 

Each student will receive 4 General Admission Tickets - FREE

As long as good weather permits, these 4 tickets can be used for General Admission on the field. 

Additional General Admission tickets can be purchased through May 16th in the Coronado Bookstore. Pre purchased tickets will be dispersed at Graduation Rehearsal. 

Any remaining tickets will be sold at the gate, no earlier than 7:00pm. 

Please request arrangements well in advance so that we can plan accordingly.
